Maslow's hierarchy of needs: why we can't accomplish anything without food, clothing, and sleep

This post is a reminder on a classic psychology theory by Abraham Maslow: a hierarchy of needs. It is normally illustrated as a pyramid, with more basic needs at the bottom. The pyramid represents an idea that in order for a human to move forward (ie. “go to the next stage in life”), the prior stage must be satisfied first.
