The learning pyramid. We can only remember 10% of what we read?
We tend to remember,
- 10% of what we read - eg. books, articles, research journals, etc
- 20% of what we listen to - eg. podcasts
- 30% of what we see - eg. pictures
- 50% of what we see and listen - eg. movies, online courses, exhibitions
- 70% of what we say, write, and discuss - eg. participating in a discussion, writing blogs, giving talks or presentations
- 90% of what we say, do, and actively interact with - eg. teaching
This is known as learning pyramid or cone of experience, developed by Edgar Dale.
